So here goes my series of Religions each Element will be posted in a different thread but the threads will each have the links to the others in them.

So for Fire:

Life: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=2873.0 (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=2873.0)

Ok so this is the Death Religion so has a few interesting points and before we go on I know that at the beginning these cards may be OP but that is the way it is so please if you want to say that back it up and give me some advice on how to change it.

So here are the cards:

Normal Card

Upgraded

So these cards are obviously rares and would be hard to come by but would benefit your deck incredibly.

I look forward to hearing from you all

Yours

Scyther

WE DON'T HAVE ANY GRAVYYARD HERE. DEAD CREATURES ARE GONE UNTIL THE END OF MATCH!

Well, as of now. You could make the card store a variable, like "All creatures are assigned a number, when one dies on your side, change the variable to said number, ability usage makes the respective creature appear in your deck and clears the number". Of course, it sounds like something real impossible to code even now, but...

WAIT. THIS THING IS BETTER THAN A FIRE SHIELD FOR SAME 6 COST. BAD.

OK my apoligies to the coders for suggesting it but maybe with some changes it could be done.

First it rewinds the last card that went into the discard pile (ie Eternity Ability)

Second the cost of the card is the same as a Fire Shield. Well that is easily fixed so we just up the cost a bit to 7 and 9 to make it more costly and balanced.

Just an idea I suppose.

Let me know what you think

The problem with this is that a discard pile doesn't exist and will probably never exist in Elements, so there will never be a way to bring back any card from the "graveyard" or discard pile.

Ok so the general consensus so far is that there is no way to code this card as currently in the game there is no discard pile.

In that case maybe the card would have to work on Rewind what is in play into your deck:

Eternal Bond: Rewind any card (permenent or creature) as the top card of your deck. Affects both you or the opponent.

This would get around that issue but wouldn't quite be what I am after.

I apoligise if I do not understand these things and may seem a little naive but it is in your best interests to let me know these things in the nicest of manners. In saying this bobcamel could you please refrain from whispering or shouting as it is not conducive to a decent conversation about the merits of the card and takes people way off topic.

Thankyou all

Scyther

PS the other thing I had thought of was to change the ability cost to Dark rather than having the card as a mono. Any ideas?

Of course this game has a graveyard, there's just nothing in it but skeletons :P. But yeah, even with the costs increased it is still much, much better than fire shield, Regardless of the fact that it is rare.
I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.

Ok fair comment so I have a lot of work to do to make this card fit maybe it needs to be lowered in stats for some things an upped in other areas to balance it out.

It will be using Dark as its ability thus making a little harder to get it going.

Also I think the rewind is better as a standard rewind so works just like eternity except for costing Dark instead of Time.

Thanks

I've read "Much better than fireshield" on multiple posts.  I want to ask Scyther a point of clarity:  do attacking creatures lose 1 hp per turn or is this a field effect where the entire opposing creature army goes down by 1 hp while the Monk of death is in play (and is possibly stackable by playing more MoDs)?

If it's the former--i.e., each attacking creature loses 1 hp/turn, than it is clearly better than Fire shield since it has additional abilities proposed.

But if they simply lose 1 hp while MoD is in play and would gain it back if he is destroyed, then it's hard to argue that this is somehow WAAYY better than the shield.  It's more like deflagging Nightfall and every Dark/Death creature loses 1 hp it had previously gained.  This could make the card more palatable for the "too powerful" crowd.
Bring back Holy Cow!

You are proably right the card would be better balanced if it read:

All Opponents Creatures gain +0|-1 for the Normal and -1|-1 for the upgrade.

This would save the confusion around the card and also balance it from being too powerful.

Remember it is a God card so is supposed to be OP.

Thanks
