COST:

TYPE:

ATK|HP:
TEXT:
Place a kinetic ward on target creature that returns 33% damage to physical sources and 75% to spell sources.
NAME:
Impact Ward
ELEMENT:
Gravity
COST:
3
TYPE:
Spell
ATK|HP:
TEXT:
Place a kinetic ward on target creature that returns 40% damage to physical sources and 100% to spell sources.
ART:
OdinVanguard
Created using Hexagon, Bryce7, and GIMP
IDEA:
OdinVanguard
NOTES:
“Today everything just seems to fall into place”
“Forgive and forget?… Nah! Today, its an eye for an eye… or whatever other sense appendage that thing that hit you happen to have”
The effect does not prevent any damage, it just returns damage back when the creature gets injured.
If the damage source is a permanent (e.g. an equipped owl’s eye) the damage is returned to its owner
Gravity pull synergy is very obvious (which is why the return is well under 100% for physical sources).
This is meant to be a “mass CC” for gravity.
Reflected damage is rounded to the nearest integer (not round down).
Note that due to round off, 1 ATK creatures will be safe from reflected damage from the upgraded version. Everything else will take at least 1 point in return.
Also meant to be as a general deterrent to spell damage CC.
The effect can be stacked, yielding potentially very potent mass CC with gravity pull.
Poison damage is not affected.

If it is supposed to combo with GP it should be a creature. As a spell, I see two creatures it would be cast on, armagio and massive dragon (with GP). The former would probably be used the most.
That said, it is a very interesting card. Nice work!

I thought about making the following creature: 6
3|10 immediately attacks any attacker when damaged if not frozen/delayed.
But this actually seems more interesting and is fairer towards weak creatures.

It also is useful for protecting creatures from CC as well.
E.g. if you put this on a voodoo doll and your opponent hits it with a lightening bolt, they end up taking 9 damage (10 upped), 5 from the voodoo and another 4 to 5 from the anti-CC buff...
On any other creature its like giving them a spell-damage only version of the voodoo trait. In some ways its better since the reflection occurs even if the creature dies from the damage.
Do you think 75% - 100% is enough or should it be higher?
