Yeah, theres no real way to make this card useful.... I mean, your idea, manofmanyspoons, is nice, but instead of having a 48% chance of the enemy blocking, because of being illuminate, Id much rather be blocking 26 damage per a creature each turn 100% of the time... making a shield that goes with bioluminecse along with hope just wont really work... hope would win all the time... unless it was more powerful than hope... then it would just destroy all enemy decks though...
