Hmm. This seems like a good sound idea. I actually like it, even though I usually don't like things that are in a series with a pointless card at first. What's the point of the Key? Please clarify why you don't leave Crystalline Lattice on it's own.

I thought it would be too out of balance completely denying Devourers, Discords, and Black Holes for no quanta cost.  The reason for no quanta cost is to help to get it early in your hand due to the auto-mulligan.

So I figured the penalty would be a useless Permanent slot each time you used it.

I guess the key is to take up a permanent slot.
Edit: Ninja'd.

This seems very situational
While I'm not straining my brain atm the only cards i recall your opponent having that can affect your quanta are black hole and discord.

Well it would stop those dumb devourer/fractal decks for 2 turns.

ok that's 3 cards
It's still very situational
it's a dead draw in most cases
kinda like purify

Aye.  Only helpful if you know who you are facing.  For now...

Completely reworked card.  What do you think?

Hmm it seems a bit OP mostly because it doesn't cost a thing. Try to fix that.

I like the art very much. Your card idea is somewhat fuzzy though, and as others have pointed out a little too situational. I also feel that the gap between unupped lattice and upped quantum grid is too high--1 whole turn of quantum defence. I would suggest some sort of fading effect, like both quantum lattice and grid provide full protection for one turn, and then start to decrease, but at different rates.

Don't know if this is too hard to code, but it could go something like this:

Quantum Lattice: The chance of your opponent disturbing a quantum is 100%-100%/n where n=turns elapsed. Lasts 3 turns.
Quantum Grid: The chance of your opponent disturbing a quantum is 100%-100%/n where n=turns elapsed. Lasts 6 turns.

The problem with that of course is that it is troublesome to program as black hole can "disturb" up to 36 individual quantum. It might also need a nonzero cost as it is somewhat more powerful than your original idea.

Yea I actually like this concept more since it increases in effect the longer the turns. 6 turns is not op either since the percentage gets very low.
