Quantum Focus

How about a spell card or maybe a psuedo-permanent card like sundial that has a limited life span, that when played will focus all your quanta into only those marks that you have showing in your hand on that round.

alternatively, it would focus all quanta into those marks that you have in your whole deck, whether showing or not.

This, of course would be useful to anyone who is using the Quantum Pillars to generate quanta, so perhaps this card would best fit into that set of cards.

Probably should have a limited life, say 2-5 rounds.

OK nice idea. So I suppose you are asking for the quanta production changing to match what is in your hand? Or is it like discord which switches everything at the end of your turn to the marks in your hand?

As to how it would work. i don't think this is in coding at the moment and it could be tough to implement so as an idea it is good but in practicality it may not happen. You would have to have it target somehting that is in your hand, establish which is predominant etc..

As to how long, I think just a spell would be good. Something along the lines of:

Quantum Focus:
Cost: 5 Random Quanta
Spell: Target Element, All your Quanta becomes the targeted Element

This would either be during your turn or a the end of your turn.

The main thing with Cards is to give costs as well to give an indication of how balanced it is (at the moment your card could be free or 10 Quanta)

Nice quickie card! 

yeah, can't say I know much about coding, and especially not about Elements coding.  Thought it might have some particular difficulties, but thought I would throw it out there for brainstorming.  And, yes, I think I mean that the quanta production would change to the elements in your hand, say divided as close as possible evenly among them.

Did not mean that it would switch everything like discord.  I guess I thought if that were how it worked, that might almost be too powerful, but I guess that all depends on how many quanta you have in your possession at the time you play the card.

If it is easier to code, then the idea about focusing on one particular element is about the same thing.  It would at least allow you to almost guarantee that you could get a card out in a particular element in the next round, which is nice.

Anyway, hope the idea gets a bit of juices flowing for other better ideas . . .

Problem here is that Quantum Pillars and Towers produce 3 to 1 quanta because they are doing it randomly. Any effect that removes the randomisation will make them simply more powerful then regular towers.

Fire Towers are good for Fire Lance decks. This thing will just make Quantum Towers three times good for Fire Lance decks. Way too good.

I have another idea, the spell could change all the quanta creation into some element for 1~3 turns.

yeah as mentioned above this would make certain decks op -> notably ones running Fire lance, Fahrenheit, drain life, ice bolt, unupgraded disapation shield and stone skin.

In its current state, it is an EXTREMELY overpowered card.

One can run a deck with a couple of Quantum Towers and a couple of Quantum Focuses, and that would be all the deck needs in terms of quanta. It basically turns a Quantum Pillar into a triple pillar of one element.

I disprove. Overpowered and very unbalanced.
