Life's way of getting huge or off-color creatures out sooner than normal, but with a significant vulnerability -- a turn with a permanent in play that can be destroyed or much worse, stolen.   Great for FFQ decks that feature only Emerald Pillars, or just getting that Jade Dragon out a few turns early, but woe betide the elementalist who brings this out against a Rainbow deck or the likes of Chaos Lord.

Just be aware: because the creature selected is random, you'd better cast everything else first, or you'll end up wasting the Spawning Ground on something you could have cast normally.

You think?  If you have 12 dragons and 6 of these with just Emerald Pillars, what are the chances of getting more than 1 dragon out quickly enough to really swing the game?  Is there another combination that would be more efficient?

How many decks can't deal at all with a single dragon on turn 3 and then another once you could already start summoning them?

Yeah, Phase Dragons might be too good.  What, then, maybe up the cost to 7?  That would make it pretty impossible to get out 1st turn with Towers, but you could drop a 3rd turn Dragon -- pretty much like now, only it could be off-color if you want.

Seems like a one trick pony. You can only use this card with a specialized deck and expect to get anywhere. Most other cards can be in a deck that doesn't revolve around them.

Well, just build that one guy's dragon rainbow, and add in these.

No synergy with this at all. Weapon != creature.

If only this didn't sacrifice itself... *portals Anubis into play, plays Jade Dragon. Fractals Jade Dragon, cast/portal spams immortal dragons ftw.*
