Fun little added water - death poison synnergy that also ties in with alchemy.

The ability can only trigger once per turn per refinery / distillery and an each alchemy use will only trigger one distillery or refinery.

If the owner does not have sufficient :water then the ability fizzles (fails) but the permanent remains (is not destroyed)

Do the abilities have to be alchemy ones too (i.e. Basically nymphs)?

I like it though, very nice card.

Also, can abilities be ones on permanents too?

hm... i can see this seeing some use. but really only in rainbow decks. even then, though, i dont see it being used much. like, rarely even in the arena. i just feel like it only has 1 practical use

You are frickin nailin the :death art. Not sure I back this idea as much as Shinigami though. Its use seems a bit limited unless there are Nymphs involved.

Does Absorb mean takes 1 quanta from opponent?

No. It consumes 1 :water from the owner.

Basically, I'm trying to make a card that can let the player poison an opponent to death by using other spells and abilities...

I suppose I can tweak the trigger though. Alchemy was chosen for thematic reasons. E.g. the byproducts of the alchemy are distilled into poison.

Thematically, the best option would be to add death effects as a second trigger.

Alternately I could certainly extend it to encompass all ability and spell usage.

I voted Other for "all spells and death effects".

Creature skills activating this doesn't make sense to me, and I think it would be rather UP with only spells or gimmicky with only death effects (kinda like Soul Catcher). So combine both spells and death effects.

Also, that way it makes this a rather expensive duo, so you can't abuse it too much (after all, the wider amount of effects forces more Water to be drained, while you will constantly need a lot of Death, much more than a Mark can produce due to the fact that hard CC will create two copies and AoE can make a lot, especially if you're using Chrysaoras as well, which make this even more expensive in Death).

Also, denial against this deck will wreck it (and especially if they have HC).

Also also, Sanctuary will cancel this effect if the opponent casts spells or a creature dies on their turn, correct?

Yes, if you have sanctuary, this card will be nullified.
However, your opponent's sanctuary would have no effect on it.
