poison berry
cost 6 :life
has a 75% chance of hitting the creature
if it works target creature has a 50% chance of missing every turn

idk, life is about healing not hurting opponent creatures...
On the other side, the card is really nice balanced. Good job.

I always liked thinking of life (green) as the forest as well as its inhabitants...
Life's creature control should be like water's:

Vines: 2 :life - Target creature with power <5 can't attack for 3 turns. If that creature has dive, it also takes 3 damage.

Pit Trap: 3 :life - Target creature with power >1 takes 3 damage.

Falling Tree: 5 :life - Destroy target creature with power >10. This cannot target creatures with dive.

Bed of Pinecones: 3 :life - Shield: Creatures with power <4 take 1 damage.

yeah, the last one's a little silly I know... just havin fun

Nice ideas MadEvil. As to the first card:

It is balanced and a good effect but the proability of it doing anything would drive me nuts. Like a lot of others here I prefer to get away from the random effect and if it is to stay move it over to Entropy.

Thanks for the card idea though it is a well thought out card the only thing that irks me is the % chance of working.

Thanks

you misread...what the card means is that if the power of a card is less than 5, then the ability comes through. If the power is 5 or greater, the card does nothing. Think of a giant Dragon crashing through a forest...do you think a bunch of vines are really gonna stop it? That's the basis for what I was thinking.
Basically, there's no % chance of working or not. If power is 5 or more, nothing happens, you shouldn't have played it anyways (knowing that power is 5 or more, since it can't change during the time the card is played).

I've always had problems with percentages.  They seem like a copout.

I've never really had much fun using random-type cards until playing Elements. That still doesn't mean I entirely like it, I still enjoy the non-random aspects of games more, and I'm glad Elements has a little of both to keep it from being quite the grind...at least I can see what kind of wierd mutants pop up, and how much :life I get from my Quantum Tower vs. how much  :light

But the point is, so far I have not designed any cards that include any random chance. I've played far too many other games for my mind to think that way after this long...

My Apoligies MadEvil I meant the first card in the thread, Poison Berry, yours I understand perfectly and they have much advantage over a random hit %.

Thanks and sorry about that

I'd rather play a Dusk Mantle and do this to all creatures with 100% initial probability. They both cost 6.

...drop the cost or make it affect all with this 75% for each. Useless as of now.
