Trying to balance would be really wonky. RoF now does 6 damage to every opposing creature, deadly poison adds 6 poison, nearly all CC is now basically an insta-kill, and 6 fire lances only need 24 to OTK an opponent.

+nova +mirror shield of your own just like in the old days. And the nova wont' even be a problem since people would just use nova to power this. One nova and this and suddenly double spells!

It can be played off of a single Nova, even unupped.

How does this interact with Fractal? Maybe its just me, but I imagine it filling the opponent hand with copies of the target creature, too.

Seems really OP, maybe make it double cost of spells too?

Edit: How does it interact with Nightmare, Adrenaline, Antimatter, Mutation, Freeze, Reverse Time, and Silence?

Fractal and Nightmare wouldn't change.

Adrenaline would not change, Mutation might occur twice, same with Chaos Seed/Power, Freeze would freeze twice as long.

Reverse time wouldnt change except maybe put the card 1 down in the stack.

Silence might last for two rounds.

Would it be better to make it 15|13 cost?

Its pretty expensive and should be, but it should be worth what it does.

the card needs a complete rework

maybe give it an hability with cost saying: create a copy in your hand of the next spell thats going to be played

Expensive? Not at all. 1 nova or 2 QTs will power it. This completely breaks the game with what happens.
Congeal becomes 1 for 8 turn delay.
Chaos power becomes 1 for an average of +6|+6
Shard of wisdom becomes 1 for +8atk
Silencing for two turns is extremely OP.

The point is, it doesn't matter how much it costs in rainbow quanta, novas and QTs make it insignificant. But then again, if you raised the cost to 50  , you're guaranteeing it won't be seen in a mono or duo deck. That's the problem with making other cards like this.

i agree with furball, you should grant an elemental theme to the weapon, mod its effect imo and  lower the cost after that

Yeah, maybe it should be associated with a specific mark otherwise it might be overpowered.

well, I had originally intended for it just to be Damage spells.

Fire/Ice Bolt/Lance
Drain Life
Lightning Bolt
thunderstorm

etc.

No other spells affected, just Damage. I had posted this in the shared card maker syncpad and people had said effect too. I personally think it just doubling damage is a good way to go, possibly with those spells costing double to cast initially.

Would that be better:

Spells cost double and do double Damage.

this would also balance it a bit by having non damage spells cost more while in play.

Doubling costs and doubling effects effectively lets you have more card efficiency. Ask yourself, how much cards and quanta is doubling card efficiency for all your spells worth?
