Maybe whoever did wants to overload there dark influence on the game! I call shenanigans. It is true though Darkness is the "cool" element with Vampires and stealing...  In theory it makes a lot of sense.

Truth be told, I designed cards from every element in my Buttload of Card Ideas (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,5006.msg55916#msg55916) thread, and just happened to pick a Darkness card to individualize because I thought it was a unique and clever mechanic.

I'm totally down to change it to Air though; it wouldn't have as much in-element synergy that way, and it would go with Air's theme of manipulating Weapons.  I like that.
