It's like a really nasty not-so-horrible form of CC.  Works against decks without fire.

IMO, looks very OP. Against decks with no  quanta, it's better than CC on a stick. It's CC+slow lockdown on a stick.

Ah, the old decoy trick. Fun, yet risky. If you play this on the second turn with a mono-fire, then they revealed a fire pillar on the next turn, then they would have an army of phoenixes blasting you through the wall.

IMO, looks very OP. Against decks with no  quanta, it's better than CC on a stick. It's CC+slow lockdown on a stick.

Death effects are not triggered, and there is summoning sickness. I'm considering sacrificing it to turn a creature into Ash though if people think it is OP.

EDIT : Nvrmind. I'm making it sacrifice itself in that case.

This qualifies as an instant kill that does not take the hp of the target into account.

Suggestion, if I may.  : Add +1|-2. If you kill it, it turns into Ash.
Upgraded, 0|-2.

This way, it is more efficient to use it on small creatures, Scarab especially.

Hmm. Would it be better if:
1) This card was a suicide card that burnt itself and target creature to ashes? It would cost 7 | 5 quantum and take an extra turn to do so. Antimatter is better as it's instant and heals.
2) Rage Potion-ish effect, as suggested?

Keep in mind that this is Phoenix-related, so you might want to factor in a delay of some sort, then regeneration. Like the original Phoenix.
