Apogee quanta costs are all paid out of whatever quanta pool currently has the most quanta in it.  Any one apogee cost is paid out of a single pool of quanta -- if two or more are tied for fullest, one is selected at random and the entire cost is paid from that pool.  If no pool has enough quanta to pay the apogee cost, the ability cannot be activated/card cannot be cast. For the upped, maybe a reduced cost from non-upped.  Having both AP & HP be based off of the highest quanta pool you have at 1 for 1...there's a reason cards like Fahrenheit are N/5.  Especially with this as a creature, imagine there being six of them.

So the unupped one uses perogi quanta!

Well, its cost is still in apogee quanta, but the N is based on the perogee concept, yeah.


Wait...perogi?  Like the buns? 

Also, the Apogist Wurm's cost is high because it's based on the highest quanta pool -- but that's somewhat mitigated by the fact that it removes 8 from that quanta pool in order to cast it.  It might still get ridiculous in rainbow stalls, though, so it might need a divisor in there.  Any other opinions?

So unupped is rainbow and upped is mono?

Unupped uses the *smallest* quanta pool you have; upped uses the *largest*.  Both cost out of the largest pool, but the Perogist Wurm is basically only good in rainbow stall, where as the Apogist Wurm is good in any deck with a crapload of quanta acceleration.
