Perhaps the term "paralysis" seems to be better.
I agree that words that exist look nicer, but...c'mon
"paralyce"
it punny.

Furthermore, I'm not sure how a paralysis could affect an unliving object :P

You paralyze the player so he can't swing his weapon or block with his shield.
Just like how freezing a voodoo doll freezes the opponent which means it freezes the weapon slot.

Yep but freezing the very elemental should have more effects than just prevent him from swinging or defending himself, I think..

Just the "hands" kinda thing....the mind is still free to summon creatures, cast spells etc.

But even with a frozen, and thus rigid hand, one should be able to defend himself with his shield..

Anyway, this is just a thematical discussion. The card is good, and that's the important thing :)

You know, I did think of that way back when, probably why I chose it to only target weapon!

Anyway, I've added a new poll to try sort this out further, please vote :)

I believe that both cards are very interesting, but I'd like Paralyce to choose between weapon or shield and have Ice Shackles as a standalone card as well(longer duration vs. getting all at once, sort of like a Fire Bolt/Rain of Fire sort of thing).  The cost shouldn't change, seeing as you are only able to freeze two cards max with either version.

thanks :) however, if thinking about feezing weapon or shield, stopping a weapon for 3 turns is not as near as powerful as stopping a shield for 3 turns....that's the issue with being able to combine them imo....

As you could've imagined, I voted for the 3rd option.
