Perhaps all elements are reversed? Or target creature switches to darkness? Shockwave + Freeze requires splashing. Besides, 10 damage is enough for pretty much enough for anything.

This card theory is not good.
Why would it cost quanta out of its element?
You could simply make it light and add the text "nocturnal" to get the same effect.
That would waste much less card space.
The element of everything on the field is now darkness. What's the purpose of making permanents darkness?
You could simply put "all creatures become nocturnal." This implies the effect is temporary.
One could also imply it changes the cost of the cards in your hand. Does it?
Overall, make the creature light, and change the card text to "All of the creatures on the field are now nocturnal. Nocturnal."

Because that's not actually what it does.
A nocturnal creature is not a darkness creature.
Holy light doesn't affect nocturnal creatures - it affects death and darkness creatures.

Anyway, it's being strongly implied the two elements I'm using are not ones i should be, so what would happen if I switched around some of the elements and came up with a different effect?

Originally, the card was a darkness card pretending it was a light card, giving death and life creatures +1 | +1.

The only synergy I find is making some creatures stronger with Nightfall and use holy light for CC. Anything else?
