To get the image links to work, try replacing the current link for the unupped card with this (http://i.imgur.com/qiTyR.png) url, and the upped card with this (http://i.imgur.com/VkWGo.png) url. That should fix it.

So unupped it's a pillar only on your opponent's side of the field. Upped, it's the same thing as unupped only it leeches opponent's :light (elemental hate) and worse than a devourer.

Yes, it's a pillar on their side, but you get the quanta. Same for the upped. Going by comparison to Devourer, I'd say the upped is on par, or just slightly worse because of the restriction (non-randomness). And for the opponent to stop you benefiting from this, they have to waste valuable PC. In that aspect, compare again to devourer. PC vs. CC. Why not just have both in the same deck? There you go.

Also, forgot to mention - this is cheaper costing than devourer, too.
It is the greatest mystery of all...

way OP. why? because it is strictly better than a dark pillar. not only does it, like a dark pillar, cost nothing and give you dark, it also uses up openents permanent slots rather than yours.

Thats only the upgraded version, and only 1/12 players use light.

actually, its the unupped and upped. the upped jsut also steals light quanta. the upped infact, is fairer because it is not strictly better than a tower. the unupped on the other hand is strictly better than a pillar. both are OP IMO.

Esran has a point, though it does not make the card necessarily "OP" - quantum generators that are permanents should generally not be able to automatically replace pillars in a deck due to superior effects, which the unupgraded currently does due to avoiding Earthquake. Even though this is balanced out by the 6-card limit of unupped OoM (Orb of Madness), it's still redundant to the point where I feel it's just a pillar with a special effect tacked on.

Elemental Hate effects such as the upgraded versions 'drain :light" are generally viewed as bad design in this game due to being situational most of the time and then being imbalanced with other cards when facing the element they 'hate' (Compare Lightning and Holy Light vs. a Mono Darkness deck, then compare them vs. a Mono Life deck. Same goes for this card vs. Pest.)

Ill go ahead and take out the draining.

thank you zblader, and while it may not neccecarily be OP, i forget where i read the definition of OP where it said a card is OP if it is better in every way then another card. and this card certainly seems to fit that definition.
