I like it, though it'd be nice if it were :gravity

Btw, to make the images work, just add '.png' to the end of the URLs, should make it work fine

Not entirely true. You need the i at the start of it as well. Just copy the direct image link: http://i.imgur.com/VCDvc.png

I really don't think we need any more bolt spells. This barely makes any sense either; I like the idea of connecting :life and :gravity through Newton's Apple, but the mechanic needs a drastic overhaul.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

the idea was that with a greater force of gravity, means that objects would fall faster. and when an object falls faster, it would hit harder causing more damage to whatever it hit.

If there are too many bolt spells, then how might i be able to change this for the better?

I feel there are too many bolts and this overlaps with fire lance far too much. How about make it into a creature that does more damage the more gravity quantum you have.

Maybe this could bounce onto other cards and do partial damage to them?

I do agree with the previous posts saying that it's overlapping with fire bolt, and that there may be too many bolt spells already.

But, I really like this idea of a Gravity targeting spell; throwing a gravity-infused apple at the opponent for the kill sounds wonderful.
To make it different from fire bolt and yet have Gravity thematics included, how about we make Newton's Apple a "momentumed bolt spell"?
It would not be reflected by shields, and can hit immaterial creatures. I dunno if that will be overpowered, but a damage reduction to 2 damage per 10  :gravity would be nice if it's momentumed.
With the ability to hit immaterial creatures, I believe it will be a much better counter than damaging shields against quintessence.

Thanks for the suggestion, I liked this idea.
I updated the apple to form around this idea a bit more.

Anybody have any more suggestions on how i could make this better?

2/10? 1/5 for simplicity, i guess...  :)

thats what i was thinking, because when you drop something on the floor, it might bounce left or it might bounce right.

do you suggest making it only target the enemy only? or make that just for the upgraded maybe?
