Stealth is a new status that I have come up with.

When you play/activate a card that has a "stealth" ability, it is shown on your side of the board as a dimmed card kind of like burrowed but without the circle. Your opponent on the other hand, will not be able to see that card. Creatures with stealth are meant to be fairly weak and cannot be targeted by either player, but they are affected by shields and area of effect spells such as firestorm or thunderstorm. Anyways here are a couple of cards to start with.

Nightelf
Cost: 3 life
Stats: 4/2 (4/3 upped)
Ability: stealth/un-stealth
Ability Cost: 1 darkness
Description: n/a

Ninja
Cost: 4 darkness (3 upped)
Stats: 1/3
Ability: Assassinate (or ambush w/e sounds better)
Ability cost: passive
Description:  The ninja enters the field in stealth, will assassinate the next opponent creature that comes into play. Ninja disappears after ability has been used

Sort of, but the main difference is that your opponent CANNOT see them, making stealthed creatures more tricky, you would have to pay close attention to the damage coming in.

What does assassiantion do? Don't tell me it does what I think it does, though, as then I'll get my Disintegrating Flames.

The status itself is alright, and is what some want Immateriality to be, may Gemini smite them in the rear.

Maybe assassinate is a bit too OP.. killing a dragon for 4/3 darkness quanta isn't so fair ^^

Stealth isn't so "stealthy" if you just pay attention. He should have a little number floater above him whenever he does damage; that would give it away. And even if there is no number counter, just paying attention to your health bar will give it away. Mostly, I think this is an intriguing idea, but won't hold up in the game; it's just a more subtle clone of Immortal creatures.

Ninja is overpowered, and so is Nightelf, but to a much lesser extent.

Ninja is basically a suicide bomber, a 1 for 1 deal, and if it were possible to make the damage hovering over stealthed cards invisible to your opponent as well, it would be a lot stealthier ^^

It isn't a 1 for 1 deal as the 1s are not equal hee.

Discussing the Concept of Stealth.

- When a stealth card is played, a card will still leave the hand, why bother hiding the card at all?
- How does an AI not see this on the table? Ai does not have a visual limitations, it will just see another creature in the variables stack.
- How would one determine what is a stealthed creature and what is a cheat?

I have some ideas how to work this idea but would like to see your answers to these questions first.

1. This involves paying close attention to the game at all times... Something not a lot of casual players(and myself) even bother to do. If they notice that 1 missing card.. good for them.. if not.. tough luck

2. Im not a programmer myself, but wouldn't it be possible for the ai to act as of the card itself isn't there? Just make em completely oblivious to the card until they happen to rof the field.

3. I was hoping that this would have a small chance of getting implemented into the game after the pvp issue has been resolved. By then people should be able to tell the difference between cheating and stealthed units
