Yeah you are right I was just responding to the earlier quote.

I think you are right to stick with the basic elements for starting and maybe expand it later as the idea gets more traction. It would need some play testing first to work out how defienate it is.

I am looking forward to having one in my deck though.

I would love do that too, but when I talked to Zanz, he said that the main limitation in making cards is: "Only one skill for every card, no more.". So, giving the pillar bonus AND another thing is impossible.
I've said it multiple times before, but apparently people don't read other threads too much -.- Creatures CAN have multiple skills! like a pest. The passive ability (forgot name) and the active
one: burrow Or like a quinted mommentum'd adrenaline'd oty. It's just that 1 creature can not have multiple ACTIVE abilities. So it IS possible to add the pillar bonus (passive) and another active ability.

I don't know if the pillar bonus can be considered "passive".

I think passive abilities are the ones with symbols, like immortality, adrenaline, momentum or similar things...

Anyway, giving 2 abilities to the elementals will probably make them a lot more difficult to balance (both with each other and with other cards).

I think it's useless to make a super-uber-extra card, that cost 20 to play and so you will play only in one copy and almost allways without any strategy around it...

I want to make cards with new concepts, that work well only in mono decks and that encourage to build the entire deck around them...

So, even if immaterial air elementals or momentum earth elemental can be good, I think it's better to stick on a single, new, ability then mixing much of them... (In future, it's allways possible to make another card, even more improved, like "Primordials" that has the elemental ability and other things, but i think it's better to test them as they are before thinking about "adding more").

Elements is a fantasy card game online. The player is an elemental, a spirit composed of an element; elements are the fundamental building blocks of nature. Each elemental has an arsenal of skills that can be used in a duel against another elemental; each skill corresponds to a card. The player can pick which and how many cards to use in the duel and collect them together in a card deck.
Text underneath the game :P

The cards look good, and the idea to keep them within the 4 major elements is also a good idea. They are not OP at all due to high cost and how long it takes to make them bigger. Compared to lava golems/forest spirits, you can only grow +1/+1 per turn (Assuming you have no hourglasses/golden nymphs) and even that isn't guaranteed. The big bonus is that they don't cost any to grow, and are mono-capable.
I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.

I too think the cards are brilliant and would be a welcome addition to the game.

They are not over the top in ability and I also like the passive growth they entail.

Thanks Aegis.

Growth is straight-up nastier than Dive when it comes to PUing.  I don't think it'll ever be balance-able.
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

Well one idea I had was that it absorbs your Quanta from your pillars not your stack.

ie. I have 8 Pillars in play, 12 Earth Quanta and a 1|5 Earth Elemental.
The Earth Elemental Gains +8|+8 for the cost of 1 Earth Quanta (like Lycanthrope abilty a once off)but I get no more QUanta until my next round.

SO I end the turn on 11 Earth Quanta and 1 9|13 Earth Elemental.

Just an idea but this way you actually have paid a quanta per +1|+1 but you haven't used your stack just your pillars like a credit card.

Not sure about coding it but an idea anyway.

Thanks

The only thing im worried about here is a time elemental with the growth ability

Ex. 4 hourglasses
      3 elementals
      3 procrast shields
      and 50 towers >.<

As I said, in my idea, there will be NOT Time elementals, or any other Elemental that is not: Fire, Air, Earth or Water.

Thats such a good idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:aether  :air  :darkness  :death  :earth  :entropy  :fire  :gravity  :life  :light  :time  :water

Guardian is the right name for them.

I'd rather play mono-decks if the were a little stronger
