A new death shield https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=3026.msg25663#msg25663

so I was thinking that the death shield wasn't really fitting to death, and that while bone wall is good, death needs a true shield, so I created Necrotic Shield.

It's meant to cost 5 :death

It is a  :death :death :death :death :death :death :death

It reduces all physical damage by 1 and poisons attack creatures for 1

It's upgrade does the same for  :death :death :death :death :death :death

It needs a pic obv, but I'm no artiste, so feel free to change it or suggest pics

Considering there is currently no way to get rid of creature poisoning this shield is highly overpowered. You only have to compare it to Fire Shield:
This is 5 to play unupugraded. Fire shield is 6 to play unupgraded. This blocks 1 damage (per attack). Fire shield blocks nothing. This deals 1 poison per attack. Fire shield deals 1 damage per attack. Poison while has a deferred effect for 1 turn, has a cumulative effect which means the damage that is a result of this shield grows higher and higher.Poison on creatures is a permanent ailment. This shield only has to be on the field for 1 turn (it can then be destroyed) for any creatures affected to continually suffer damage as if it were attacking a Fire shield for all turns.

What Jumbalumba said.
AND, it has stats? (I mean attack and HP). What the hell?

The stat's were only there because I couldn't take them off, I couldn't find what layer they were on.

Anyway, I saw this more as a more permanent plague then I did as a fire shield knock off. The point remains that Skull Shield itself has nothing to do with the flavour of the game.

Perhaps make Necrotic Shield simply poison a creature, and have it cost 7 :death?

Then the upgraded would cost 8 :death, and prevent the one damage?

The reason why I'm loathe to take off the preventing of one damage, is because that protects any creature's with an attack of one from being poisoned. Essentially a backdoor around this shield if they have a good enough ability.
