I assume you target right when you activate the ability.
Is the attack rounded up or down?
Do only creatures trigger on creatures, or also on weapons (or even some spells).
what about +|+ creatures?
can players be targeted?
also, I think the unupped is a stronger (but duo-element) version of hourglass.
that is assuming the poison part is not negative.
Considering it only requires 1 card for many poison counters I think it is.
-Rounding down seems to be standard in EtG so ATK will be rounded down (E.g. 1 ATK creatures have no effect)
-Weapons have an ATK stat so they will count.
-Spells do not have an ATK stat, nor do non-weapon permanents, so they will not count.
-Only 'base' stats are counted so any "N, *, etc" in the ATK listing of a creature would be ignored.
-Players can be targeted
... Unupgraded may need some tweaking. If it seems too potent I can change it to absorb
equal to ATK and inflict 1 poison per 2
absorbed. That way it is half as efficient as upgraded.
(e.g. '
: Draw a card. If it has non-zero ATK, absorb up to equal
to deal 1 poison to a target per 2
absorbed.'
The poison is a tricky thing to balance, but this card is less efficient than just about any other poison source in terms of quanta efficiency.
This card rewards decks that rely on high ATK (and thus probably high cost) creatures because the efficiency increases proportional to ATK. I'm hoping that this will inherently balance out with the fact that packing many high cost creatures leaves you vulnerable to quanta control and hand clogging tactics.
