ART: n/a IDEA: storyteller (lord midnight) NOTES: its a simple card that lets you cycle cards from your hand to draw new ones. While normally this is the domain of  , the concept of self sacrifice for added benefit suits well. While there is a one turn delay before use, one or more of these can speed up a deck considerably. I think its a good fit for and a solid card. The card begins with 3 counters and loses one the first round. It is weak to permanent control and is ideal in larger fire decks. Adding a few of these to an Immolation/Fahrenheit deck is obvious though it has its place in a golem rush as well. Its real power is discarding a card you dont need, to get that extra card for a combo you do. It is more costly than hourglasses, sundials and precognition, so I think it balances out. Seems overshadowed by SoBe. Also, self sacrifice seems more death to me.

I could see a  version of this card. Possibly something along the lines of a spell that targeted a creature and drew up to 8 cards, equal to that creatures current HP, maybe casting cost but HP seems more of a fit. I think this one is fine as fire card, might do a spinoff or short series on card draw outside of time...
