The upped one is still pretty bad though. I think you'll have a hard time keeping it alive. Lets say you play the upped one, end turn, pay upkeep, and are left with 3
quanta and nothing else. Next turn, activate effect gain the quanta, end turn, lose the quanta you just gained. You now have zero quanta. Whatever towers you have and your mark will generate quanta; however, you need to hope that you gain 3
, or else you won't be able to activate the ability next turn. Depending on the situation, you either quanta lock yourself (similar to how dissipation field would if you're not careful) or lose this. If you get lucky and pull out 3
you might be able to pull yourself out of the loop. In any case, the upped one is best used only after establishing good quanta gain (i.e. not good to play near the beginning). That makes it worse than the unupped one, which has no such problem (assuming entropy mark).
