Haven't you heard of cases of people dying form an adrenaline overdose? I must agree though being granted wings shouldn't damage you. Especially ones called mighty wings. But neither should they grant you an attack bonus. What's he going to do slap someone with his new fancy wings? Instead I think the creature should gain the dive ability.

Yes, adrenaline overdose would make sense if the card is called "Adrenaline Overdose", but if you call the card "Rage" or "Berserk", I don't think anyone would assume that it would do damage to the creature or even kill it.

You can make up all kinds of crazy explanations why a card does what it does, but why not just name it so that when a person reads the card, he can almost guess what it does? Lets take "Steal" as an example of good card name. It's pretty easy to guess that this card will take something from your opponent and give it to you.

"Mighty Wings" just doesn't make sense because 99% of people would assume that it gives the creature a "Flying" ability, but since there is nothing like that in this game, why call it "Mighty Wings"? Why not call it something else?

Also, the word 'mighty' implies that the target is becoming stronger and empowered, which goes against the concept of taking away health upon casting. Just change the name and this would be a stellar card idea.

Mighty Wings makes me think of a card that would give the creature a small attack boost, and then give it the Dive ability.

Imagine a lava destroyer with dive, unless it loses its original ability which might make it more fair but would open up a whole new road for 120/3 crimson dragons (with PU of course)

If it did retain its original ability then i would love to build a blessing deja vu deck.

and probably the best way to make this work would be to have it act like a spark, as in it gets its attack and then dies after attacking.

I would love to see how this 6 of these cards play with a pegasus that has 6 bless, 6 chaos, and 6 heavy. then PU for maximum results.

I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.

M:tG -- Berserk.  G.  Target creature's Power doubles until the end of turn.  Creature dies at end of turn.

I think there's plenty of precedent, ScaredGirl. ;p

I disagree because there is one HUGE difference between this Mighty Wings and that MtG card.

You see with the MtG card it's not the "going berserk" part that is killing the character. The character dies because it goes berserk and uses so much energy to attack that its body and internal organs can't handle it, and it's heart will stop. Same effect can also be achieved by overdosing on modern performance enhancing drugs.

With Mighty Wings your character dies INSTANTLY, without attacking or anything.

So have it reduce defense to 0. Even if you play it on an opponent's creature it won't die until it attacks- unless you can damage it in some other way.
