Last I checked, they do.

And like I said, they would be limitations with the upgrades so they don't get to powerful

I can think of some secondary upgrades.  You can always add "draw a card" to something like purify, protect artifact, etc...

Furthermore, the current upgrading system isn't so hot.  For instance, upgrading sundials is just dumb.

Upgrading sundials is a good idea if you're running a mono/duo Light deck and you want > 35 cards.  It goes to 1 generic quantum to play it, so you don't have to take the Time mark, and Light quanta aren't hard to come by if you've got 10 Light Towers on the table.

What about a deadly poison that cost 0 and adds 50 poison PER TURN and wholly costed 563957$ ?

Seriously, this is not a good idea, that game would became dull because of this. We could not really play the game without a minimum of... a very very lot of hours of gameplay. The fun of the game is to design deck, not to become indefinely stronger over time.

he said only 2 upgrades, deadly poison might go up to 4 poison for 3 quanta, but never 50 for 0...

upped dial costs 0 anything, not even generic

the 2nd dial up would be only 1 to hasten, so after all you'd just end up with 0 cost as the only difference

upped supernovas o.0

Level 2 supernovas--no casting cost.

DO VERY MUCH WANT.

I have one thing to say to people who say that the upgrades will make cards to powerful...

LIMITATIONS!

I understand your point of limitation, and I'm sorry for my above exaggeration.  :'(

The biggest, and only, point for which I disagree is that it would take even more time to upgrade cards before considering how to actually use them. Personally, I think that upgraded cards should be more accessible, even as things are, because my fun in this game is to conceptualise decks ; not to develop strong card, but to develop strong decks  :) ... but this is another debate :)

stronger cards=stinger decks

and the upgrades would mean more variety

generic explsions and congeals would NOT be a good idea, as they would be put in every deck

What I'd really like to know is why upgrading sometimes makes a card worse in some way.  For instance, nova=>Supernova requires a new mark just to use what was once free.  Upped sundials from a total quanta perspective are worse than the un-upgraded ones (4 to 3, albeit the unupped requires two colors).  A second upgrade should perhaps remove the "worse" side effect, such as lowering an upgraded card's casting cost to its original unupgraded casting cost while maintaining the upgraded effect.

They don't get 'worse' as you say they do, they just get more powerful. And I want to be able to choose if my cards get more powerful and more expensive, cheeper, or more powerful with no change to cost
