The cost is NOT a problem at all.
One random quanta? That's a problem?
If it is, you people have possible serious ETG issues.
The cost is extremely ideal. Its not even funny how perfect the cost is.
It makes this card open to all elements. All decks.
I mean come on. Just wait one turn and you can play this. Unupped cost is just as perfect.
Think about the combos.

It's not about one or two quanta being an issue, it's about them being more than almost any other quanta creature, meaning it must have a worth to make up for that. A tiny bit more survival ability seems like enough but, without that, no element with its own quanta creature would ever have reason to use this.
That is what balancing unaligned cards is about, IMO. Making them somewhat inferior but still far from unplayable, no matter your element.

It is a small buff to the elements that don't have a quanta creature. I like it, having it can change the metagame to more CC packed in order to reduce early quanta.

Its a card that generates quanta relative to your mark.
Fire, Air, Light, and Darkness would do well with extra quanta generating creatures.
 I believe you are looking at it from the perspective of mono decks in which the element already has quanta creatures.
In all reason, your right. But you can't use that in terms of ALL other decks.

I was debating dropping ATK to zero, but I think adding innate resistance to shield counters was a little too much of an advantage over other quanta producers.

My dilema is that if I made it equal cost to other producers, its versatility will make it overshadow them. But I can't make it too weak or it will be too prone to CC for elements that can't protect it.
I can think of lots of little ways I could add boosts to make it stand out, but I figured simplicity seemed best for a card like this.
