What happens if you use Evolve and then don't play anything that turn? Do you have to pay again next turn, or does it remain active until something is played?

(I'm thinking fauna is the more useful card here, but I could be wrong...)

It's implied that it just remains in an evolve stage until you play a card.

Under the current mechanics, if you play a Chimera when you already have one, the new one just absorbs the old one - including if you copy it. So I expect this would just be a 0|2 for the Chimera.

It doesn't do any kind of damage. All it does is turn into the next permanent you play. And since it's not a weapon it cannot be flown, thus no stats - so if it flies it's truly magical

POI on flying: what if the next permanent you play is a Weapon? Ideally it would not copy weapons, for obvious reasons.
