My first Card idea ever. Yay.

Basically, this is a double-edged bolt. You deal 3 damage to self for each 10 :aether, and deal 6 damage to target for each 10 :aether. Is reflected by reflective shield, per usual spell damage. Can target both players and creatures.
It will damage you first, then opponent, so you can die before it can target opponent. If the spell damage could somehow be increased, damage to you is increased too, and the bonus is doubled to the target.

The theme is that as an elemental, the caster have to use up some of its life force to deal more damage via this bolt. Could be OP or not. Comment is appreciated.

The theme seems to fit better in  :darkness or  :death to me. Otherwise a fairly cool concept. I think someone used the name "Spirit Bolt" Somewhere already... Maybe rename it Mind Bolt and Psychic Blast?

I think ZBlader has a Spirit Bolt somewhere...

This is definitely more of a :death effect considering the repercussions.

Anything special happens if you have a reflective shield up? Personally, I don't think :aether needs this since they already have lightning, and this just encourages more aether stall.

Problem with :death is that it's too easy to make an OTK using this. Throw in SoSa and this, and you can OTK while getting EM.
:darkness already have bolt (DL), so not there either. If you have a good element choice, let me consider it. Otherwise, it could stay in :aether at the moment.
Reflective shield + this = damage to self is unreflectable, as it have no targetting, but the targeted damage could be reflected.

Will change the name later to avoid confusion.

To put it in line with the "mind" concept a bit better, how about:
N=Cards in hand times  :aether quanta in pool / 10 round up. Deal N damage to self and 2N damage to target.
It should fit in card (just checked).

If used with SoSac I think it should heal the enemy for double, since it was healing you.

You could have the formula just be something like "Difference in HP doubled, and applied to enemy' So if you were healed for 20, the enemy would be healed for 40.

Mind Bolt OTK requirements
3 bolts, 53 :aether|51 :aether, 51 hp for 36 + 36 + 30 = 102 damage
4 bolts, 40 :aether|40 :aether, 51 hp for 30 + 24 + 24 + 24 = 102 damage
5 bolts, 33 :aether|31 :aether, 51 hp for 24 + 24 + 18 + 18 + 18 = 102 damage
6 bolts unupped, 30 :aether, 51 hp for 24 + 18 + 18 + 18 + 12 + 12  = 102 damage
