So I decided that Dragons aren't the only mighty beasts in this world and as such have started a series of new beasts.

This is the first and it is a life creature, with an Earth ability. It costs a lot for good reason as it's ability and stats can really do the opponent in.

Also each of these cards will be accompanied by a creature that works in synergy with the main beast, either making it cost less, be stronger or boosting their ability.

It would be weird to code.  Besides, life right now is about life gain, and earth is about quantum crushing.  Maybe a card like this?

 :earth Roots: You gain one random quantum, and gain one life.

Yeah I hadn't really thought about the coding for it. Sorry for that it's not really my strong point.

I had thought about making the Trainers do +1|+1 or all Behemoths cost 1 less quantum which would be easier to code I suppose.

Just ideas.

The idea behind it is that Behemoth is a life creature and can use Earth to crush the quantum. Thus I was hoping I was close enough to the genre to have it fit.

The problem is the optional quantum cost.  Zanz hasn't coded a decision tree for that yet.

Yeah I thought that might cause issues but I suppose it could be a goer eventually. Remembering how long a card takes to fully develop if it gets through.

As to the cards well I could always use the other abilities I had listed but unsure about those as well. Don't want to go OTT on the OP.

Beast Trainer is good, but is hard to code and very expensive for a not-very-useful cost. It seems that you would only want to use its passive ability if you want to run a mono-Life with Behemoth, and yet, it costs :earth quanta. :P Seems useless.

Good sets, though. I'm looking forward to your new card synergies :D

I had considered for Behemoth the ability Stampede: 2 :earth When Behemoth attacks, randomly destroys an opponents permanent, Behemoth can not attack next turn.

But yes the Trainer is hard to code and I will be changing him to make it slightly better I think the lowered cost of a Behemoth if Trainer is in play is the way to go.

I kinda like the behemoth (havent decided if to OP or not).  I think i prefer the stampede ability tho...

I find the beast master useless.  I think that having a card that only effects one other card in the whole game is just too limited to be useful.

The idea would be to build your deck around these cards.

So you could have 6 Behemoths, 3 Trainers, 6 Earth Pillars, 9 Life Pillars, Mark of life and whatever other cards you wanted to make it up to 30.

I love the behemoths, but as said Beast Masters are about impossible to code (there is not any "choice" mechanic in the game untill now).

For make something similar to your original idea, Beastmaster could have this ability:

 :life :life: If you have a Behemoth in play, destroy a target permanent.


(that does pretty much the same, letting you choice what quantum to use).


Anyway, I think that, if someone makes an earth/life deck, it will just use only behemoths (couse he will probably have earth quantums to use, anyway), so maybe it's better to think something different...

Other than that, Behemoth seems quite exploitable in raimbow decks...


Maybe something like that:

Behemoth:

 :earth :earth Train: If you have a Beastmaster in play, gain +1|+1

Beastmaster:

 :life :life Behemoth pet: If you have a Behemoth in play, destroy a target element.


So they will sinergy well and they will be really good if used together.

Hmm nice idea and good use of the Synergy I had in mind I most likely will implement that idea into the card but will have to wait for the weekend to be over first.

seems a little bit opp to me.. dislike multiple creatures who can destroy multiple permanents during a single turn.. i know flying pulvys can do this.. but yeah.. i'd vote no on this.. sorry :(
