I don't really understand this, thematically speaking.

How would light make a mechanical/robot creature gain hp?

If you think about it in terms of solar energy, light is transformed into energy via solar cells, energy increases power.

I still don't think it really makes much sense to me.  A machine which becomes better protected by absorbing light?  I think it should gain attack power, not HP.

What if Mechanized Rustler gains +1|0 per light quanta, and maybe also loses one attack point per successful attack -- as if the solar power (light quanta) charges its battery, which gets used up every time it attacks?

That would work if it was a one-time use per turn, but as it stands you could easily dish out 20 damage by this guy alone by turn 2.

I really like the card, but wonder if it isn't too OP, it's a lot of light quanta, but it's one of the easiest quanta to come by (fractal RoL, Luciferin/Light Nymph)

What pepo said. Unless this robot converts energy into mass, I don't think it makes sense thematically.

I like pepo's idea. It seems like it would be more like a battery. There would have to be some limits of course. Maybe like you charge it up and then it doesn't attack until the turn after that. Or maybe it can only absorb 5 light quanta per turn or something along those lines...

Alright apparently we are working on the e=mc^2 assumption.

This would make a highly fractal worthy gravity creature. It would also be the weakest gravity creature. But for 1 gravity with a fractal you can do 16-18 damage.

Or as others have said, mark power these guys and then use photons for light and fire pillars for rage elixirs.

I guess it is a "Solar power energy-mass converter"
