CURATOR COMMENT:
To Get to the Crucible
-Add the ' :darkness' symbol after the card Cost in your table
-Remove the word (Elite) from your thread title; your thread title must match the card names exactly
-Add the quanta symbols to your card image instead of the '3 dark quanta'
-Provide a direct link to the card image you used in question - don't link it to a home page, find the exact page where you copied the image from
-Cite the artist name on your card art image in the bottom left corner
-Gain permission from the artist to use his work

Theoretically, could this be used on an Ultharid or Mind Flayer to Lobotomize itself? :)) That'd be pretty interesting, but in most cases, it seems like this card won't be used much on several creatures (FFQ, Pharaoh, Fallen Druid, etc.) because of the benefit they provide, but it does seem pretty fun with the right creatures (Maxwell Demon's Paradox, creatures with Steal/Destroy, etc.).

The image links are broken.

Use that site. I haven't had a problem with it yet. When it uploads there should be a picture of your upload on the left- use the bottom link. Good luck

Ok got everything fixed. Unfortunately artist of the original image did not grant me permission, therefore I have found a new one and added it. This one is not attributed to any artist and is floating around on photobucket and imageshack and stuff so i dont know who to attribute it to. Hope you guys like it, I personally like it better than the original  :D

I would like the curator to clear up that confusion with what I do when the artist is unknown, because other than that this is ready for the crucible.  :D

Also in regards to the usefullness of this card, since it forces a creature to use its ability, say you have a maxwells demon and use paradox, you could use manipulator to force paradox again, and destroy 2 hitters in 1 turn, right? or obviously use someones own maxwell demon against itself/other enemies etc.

Edit: and again thanks a bunch Xelax :)

No worries mon ami
Just checking- if you force an opponent to use, say, the Pharaoh's  scarab ability, would  the scarab end up on your side or the opponent's?

Other than that, the new artwork is pretty  awesome, and once again, nice idea.

I have one question. I think that force to burrow any creature it's a waste of quanta. I mean, you burrow it on your turn, and on opponent's turn, it can unburrow it for free, so... well IDK.
Correct me if I'm wrong, maybe I don't understood the function of the card.
BTW I'd love to get this card implemented in the game, looks awesome.

You *wouldn't* use if on a creature with burrow

Very interesting concept. In my opinion, the game needs a card like this. (Not that mono dark needs to be better at mono-ing)
I guess what you could do is make the  :darkness cost of your ability scale with the quanta cost of the target ability.

So: if you use this on an enemy creature that does not choose a target (say, chrysaora or gravity nymph), does it still target YOU by default, or will it target your opponent (because you're using the ability)?
I think this makes a big difference in terms of balance.

Also: if you use this on your own creature, can you use its ability twice per turn?

Okay so first as far as xelax's question, no the scarab would be on their side of the field. And I think as far as the chysaora, it would make sense either way, and I hadnt counted on this grey area. But I'd take any considerations as to how it would be more balanced.

And the scaling is a very interesting idea as well, and should be considered.

PS. as far as burrowing, yes it was a bad example, and should not be used.

EDIT: I thought about it, and it seemed to make sense that abilities such as those stated above took effect on the opponent and not you, since you are effectively manipulating the creature, so it would only make sense :)

Added a Poll as far as the whole no target issue is concerned :) Vote and we'll go with the winner.
