Because yugioh doesnt have a quanta system, you can replay most of the cards back in that just as quickly as well. I didn't say you stole the idea, I showed you a very similar idea done in Yugioh, and hoped you'd notice that it is on the Forbidden list, meaning even the people who play Yugioh recognize it as OP.

You think this is Op? In which circumstances would this card be Op?

Fiber Jar isn't really OP.

*looks at first card* Hello, Fiber Jar!
Uhh....
I get it?
In case you dont get it: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Fiber_Jar
Yeah, and there's a reason why Fiber Jar is Forbidden. Genesis's mechanic is just...wrong.

The whole game restarts with both players' field advantage completely nullified. If we open the game to these types of mechanics, then aren't we defeating the point of gaining field advantage in the first place? This is a direction that no one wants any meta-game, be it YGO's or EtG's, to take.

As for Genesis, it can be used to draw 7 cards in two turns with a rush deck where you can easily empty your hand, or it can be used in stalls like Dimensional Shield to gain extra turns by returning the opponent's creatures and half-used Dimensional Shields back into your deck.

I shouldn't have said "OP" so much as "dreadfully annoying". Sorry.

That's quite true. Annoying cards are often looked at as Op, when the reality is their fair... people just hate them. Dim Shield and Phoenix for instance.

Fiber Jar isn't really OP.

The whole game restarts with both players' field advantage completely nullified. If we open the game to these types of mechanics, then aren't we defeating the point of gaining field advantage in the first place? This is a direction that no one wants any meta-game, be it YGO's or EtG's, to take.

That's the idea actually. To completely remove both players field advantages. Cards that were destroyed or used already aren't part of the shuffle, so this vs any deck with good direct CC kills lots of the creatures in a rush that won't be brought back. True that this a nightmare for some kinds of stalls.

Prolonging half used Dim Sheilds is a little unfair. How about cards with timers are counted as "played" and lost in the shuffle?

And this card should be able to remove immaterial creatures and permanents as well. Thematically speaking we're going back in time. Same reason "freezing time" with Stasis affects immaterial.
