Just to clarify on stacking, AW + Claymore or Crusader + Claymore were my thoughts - looking back on it it seems that Claymore #1 would delay the shield and then the rest of the Claymores or Crusaders would not miss.  Is this a correct interpretation?

Yes, if the shield is delayed (by Claymore #1), then it's (as far as I know) impossible for the rest of your creatures to miss.
what against sundial?
Sundial would only be effective against an animated version I think... Plus, since sundial only lasts 1 round, the only real effect here would be to prevent them from using its draw card capabilities.

This seems sorta UP especially compared with titan. Normally, weapons have a much higher attack/cost ratio than 1. Quite useful in giving :earth some way to deal with dim shield and wings though.
This doesn't seem that UP to me, particularly if it gets relatively high hp when animated.
It is then good for:
Wings (unanimated)
Phase shield (both)
Gravity Shield (animated)
Fog
Dusk mantle
Procrastination (animated)
BoneWall
Ice Shield (animated)

Not only does it get to go through itself next round, but so will ALL of your creatures... Thats a pretty powerful effect I think.

don't forget that titan gets 50 hp when animated and is cheaper, and i think pulverizer is a better way to get rid of shields as it's cheaper and all you gotta do is splash in some gravity quanta in your deck (wich shouldn't be a problem as earth and gravity have many synergies)

True, but pulverizer doesn't stop immaterial shields. I get the impression that this one will (like voodoo doll will stun immaterial weapons)...

Yes, shields need not be targeted to be delayed.
As for the comparison to Titan, this allows your creatures (which should increase your damage potential from 8, I would think) to attack for one full turn, two if you have it animated before creatures are played or have a crusader attacking first.

I totally missed the crusader / animated attack order part. That is pretty cool in my opinion since it will add a little more strategy to its usage for getting optimal results.
I think the ability to delay an immaterial shield makes it sufficiently different from titan to warrant a new card.
