Updated the card. Because of the denial nature the card now has, both versions had their initial cost raised, activation raised, and are now solidly in Air for both versions.  Balance is still something I'm worried about...should the unupped be  to use, making the upped  instead of the current upgrade to casting cost and HP?

Still kind of preferred the previous version. This version is much more offensive, might as well make it or ...

The previous version exemplified Freedom, a theme of Air, now it's kind of sinister.

How about having the Magpie target one card in either player's hand and it goes to the other player's hand. That might make for some interesting
-bows! And it would have neat synergy with and as well.

I can see why the original would be liked...but like I said, of the cards graded, this one got the lowest score (including a 2 out of 10 by one poster.)  I had to do something with it, and since the original idea was to have a way to get rid of cards from the hand, this is the result.  It actually does fit a bit more thematically, since Magpie will steal just about anything to build their own nest with.  Fire and Darkness have enough denial (in the form of Deflags and Pests) that I don't want to give them anything else.

Interesting idea...just don't want to use it.  Like I said, I wanted something to get rid of unwanted cards and gain something out of it originally.

just use fractal and u can empty out the opponent's hand plus u get tons of quanta. u can easily deck out someone. i think its a bit OP

Countered by the fact that it's easily killed and the opponent still has a chance to use cards they draw before your turn.  It's no less OP than other forms of denial, such as Earthquake, Pest, Discord+Black Hole, etc.
