NOTES:
I saw somewhere (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,22384.0.html) that water and gravity should have better synergy considering the connection between the pull of gravity and the tides. This is my attempt to explore that connection.

as it stands it would buff flooding because for 2 gravity you could flood 4 of the 5 center dry slots not covered by Flooding. It would also give gravity a easier way to throw in some water cards thereby helping lay the groundwork for a gravity water duo.

I'm not sure I like it; it seems like yet another beats-the-crap-outta-mono,-doesn't-hurt-rainbows thing. Also, it seems like if this card were put in game, Inundation would become even more useless. Just my  :electrum

Regardless, I agree that Water and Gravity thematically should have more synergy.

Mmmm.

What about the following:

:water :water: Drain 5 random quanta from the opponent to flood 2 of his previously un-flooded field slots for a turn.

^ equals buff to flooding. would not be used much without flooding in mind.

as far as beats the crap out of monos- doesnt hurt rainbows. Gravity is already anti rainbow with black hole. if the goal is to beat up rainbows, why wouldnt you just skip out on this card and pack some black holes?

This card would have two main strategies. In water based duo-> CC buff to flooding, with a some quanta drain as a bonus. In gravity based duo-> boost to quanta drain versus monos with 5 quanta drained instead of 3 with a small chance of killing creatures on a flooded space.

Still not sure what the best mix of drain and flooding is. But regardless, this is meant to Buff flooding, not out class it. Im also thinking I might want to reverse the elements here. I could make it a water card with a gravity cost. Call it lunar tides or something...

^ Okay, this I like  :P. Flooding always needed a buff, especially since Shard of Patience.

Is the effect more Water or Gravity?

2 quanta to drain 5 quanta. or +2 Killing slots

I see a  :gravity :water deck that denies all quanta and all creatures. How much should that cost?

Probably pretty expensive.  ;D Although that would probably be pretty difficult to pull off given the investment you would have to make in card space and upkeep.

On a related note, one way to deal with these questions is to make it a spell card:

^^ can be used to mess up mono or to a lesser extent rainbow. can be used to add water to a gravity deck. can be used to kill 4 of the 5 creatures on high ground in flooded terrain. etc.

Price may be a little off. Thoughts?
