Like the idea, but fire is all about pure damage output, this doesn't entirely fit.

Ddevans, Emeraldtiger is currently letting any of his images be used for a competition (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,24045.0.html), although I did try to discourage using images already in the Crucible.

For the time being he can use the art - if Desertknight's card is still in the Crucible the new art can be used afterwards.

On that note, don't forget to relink your card to the competition thread.

Sorry about that. I will PM EmeraldTiger and let him know anyway. I thought it would be ok for the competition. I am only creating them for that at this point. In the future I will keep this in mind prior to submitting my images.

No need to get permission from Emeraldtiger - he's allowing any of his images to be used for the competition.

It seems though that this card is slightly out of theme - Fire is an aggressive element that usually wouldn't focus on healing. Would you try to give a thematic explanation as to why Fire would have healing spell? (I have a good reason in mind but I'd like to see what you can come up with.)

Healing is really not fire's style.

There are a couple reasons why I think Fire should have a healing ability.

1. Yes Fire is very aggressive and high/fast damage but...One of the more powerful cards for that element is the Phoenix. The Phoenix is all about healing and resurrection.
It could possibly be changed to a permanent that when a players health reaches 0 the card is destroyed and the player is healed X instead of dieing.

2. There are 2 sides to everything. Light/Dark, Fire/Water, etc... why not Damage/Healing?

3. Fire can be used to create something new, IE... A Fire Golem is created in a crucible with fire therefore *Life is granted by Fire*.

4. To tell the truth, I saw the image got an idea and a name. Decided it should go with Fire because of the name and gave it the ability because it was
one of the types of cards that element was lacking.

If you're inspired by the image then that helps.

Now, my reasons:
1) I imagine that this is like growing a "lava carapace" of sorts - you're using lava to stitch up your wounds and regenerate your body.

2) It's a heart. Hearts stand for love, which can represent multiple things - love, healing, passion, etc... In this case chris went with the healing/passionate aspect of love I'd guess.

It's slightly off theme, but not so terribly off that it would require an element change. Fire is aggressive, but the lava cools every now and then too. I would say it's more of a different interpretation of what fire could do rather than just making something up on the spur of the moment.
