Would make this card extremely broken... Perhaps Vangelios could re-write the effects of the card to subdue the complete OPness...

This card is pretty much an Immortal that can be CC'd in the most minor of ways? The cost equals out, but how does this correlate to ?

Maybe something like "Deified: Cannot suffer more than 2 damage per turn.  Effects that cause further damage are ignored."

Effects that cause damage would be any form of indirect damage as well as targeted damage.  Gravity Pull would also be ignored in this fashion.

yes it is based on the immortal, however is not immortal like you already said, can be destroyed by Maxuel Demon, controled by antimatter and etc. ...
immortal also combines with light, take into consideration the theme divinity, as is the case of archangel .. is like a divine protection

really this is a bit OP with GP but well it will suffer 2 damage and go to 1 HP, in the next turn dies.

Well, archangels+blessings would make GPed light champions immortal. I like the concept but ita kinda OP indeed.

Yes, GP and purify too, however is one combo with 3 cards, consider combos of 3 cards in ETG we have are numerous cards also OP.
  With 2 cards already have an OP combo that wins this, (Oty + Blessing or Plate Armor) is the old story, is not OP, it's just powerful

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. A simple purify or guardian angel prevents this from EVER dying, and no form of CC will help. This is an immaterial, everlasting dim shield. Broken. Literally the only counter to this is Reverse Time.

Is it necessarily a bad thing if a creature is very difficult to directly kill? I rather think of this as a buff to status based CC. Killing things outright is pretty boring anyway.

Well this card is good, the only combo that really made him powerful
is GP with healing, anyway I think voodoo doll GP, BB more efficient, also other CC with pharaoh, skull shield and this cannot win on direct damage decks.
 boring depends if you are in a complicated situation is boring, I'd be bored  if my opponent would use Catatitan, RT or show up with a deck of pharaoh.
