Updated.  Reworked both versions to spawn a tadpole, which morphs one turn later into Horned Frog | Giant Frog.  Tadpole / Elite Tadpole are both 1|1, which leaves them easier to kill before growing up.  Final cost for additional frogs will be  , plus one turn...quanta cost is equal to what it would normally take to cast them.  Also changed the cost of Tree of Life to be 2 .

No, it's not just you...I'm mulling over whether or not to change it to some sort of Swamp.  That's superficial and easy to change though, I'd rather address balance problems before moving on.

Was the 2 pillar effect too dull for you? The tadpole effect is unecessary complexity that hampers the design. (I do not claim it is balanced at 2 though)

Smurrf, I think the artwork in your first card needs a link.  It might look better if the 'Art by' part of the card stated the author's name as well, like LiquidGhoul is the author of tadpole's art.  Stream of Life could work as a name.

I personally like the tadpole addition, it functions as a way to break the 6 Giant Frog limitation and is thematically perfect with and tadpoles, and it makes use of both quanta types generated.  He probably felt compelled to add to it because I said it was too similar to a pendulum|SoG, although it could find use in a trio with a different mark (still could though).  This card reminds me of Zblader's Cloud which I can't find at the moment, but it generates and and is a creature that grows when electricity is used.

I like the mangrove idea...of course, I just finished updating.  Ah well.  Something for me to do later, I guess.

@Manipul8r:  Art was mine from the tree (if you could call it art), I just forgot to change the info from a different card I'd updated previously.

@OldTrees: Yes, actually.  If it was just a new concept on its own, I would have left something like the original design.  But as the whole thing was designed primarily for the first version of the Duality's Legacy contest, where the rule for round 1 was 'had to generate 1 quanta of two different elements', yes it needed something else.

Changed to Life-Giving Cypress...Stream of Life doesn't really fit with the 'Solid' concept.

Would the card be hurt any if the name was shorter, like: Regenerative Cypress? It sounds cooler and not as hard on the mouth to say.

Current name is 5 syllables and 18 characters, your suggestion is 7 syllables and 19 characters...not really shorter.
