Yes, but most upgrades aren't huge boosts. 1 damage is nice, and 2 more with adrenaline is better.

They /are/ nice, but for a faery who's ability is to increase it's own life?

I'm not arguing that the card shouldn't have the higher damage, just that it doesn't seem to fit flavour wise

The point of the card is to have synergy with adrenaline, and the ability can only be used once, like lycanthropy. It's there to give the opponent a chance to kill it. It starts out frail, then becomes 8/5.

Once again I get the point of the card, but most of the cards aren't built assuming you'll use them in the specific strategy that works best, they're built to be used in conjuction with other cards, and to fit into the flavour of each element

If you're trying to make this work well with adrenaline, have the un-upgraded faery cost  , and give it three attack.
