ART: No art again.. ew I'm going to have to start drawing things or attempting to find art again.. IDEA: AD Storm Bolt NOTES: Here's another card that isn't a part of FitG.. although I guess it could be when thinking about my first card in the series (Meteorite) in the form of field restriction. Similar to Meteorite's craters, boulders are slots that cannot be occupied. If a creature has no available adjacent slot (currently means only to the sides, but it could change to up and down as well if needed), then it won't move at all and only take damage. All criticism/feedback is welcome.

I'm all for buffing flooding a bit, but this thing practically makes flooding into a Mass autokill CC and then it prevents the opponent from ever keeping a creature in play past 1 turn.

Well, right now it's made so that the creatures only move side to side, which allows some more breathing space than "all creatures can only survive 1 turn". And besides, it wouldn't be much more powerful than RoF or Thunderstorm in terms of power. This only really instakills the very side two creatures, while the other three are safe and only sustain 1 damage each. RoF is more likely to kill, and there are more Water/Fire synergies anyways. At least, I think so. *shrugs*

If my field is flooded filled with creatures, do I just lose half of my creatures?

If a creature has no available adjacent slot, then it won't move at all and only take damage.

Technically flooded slots are still "available". They have a field effect present, but you can still play creatures there. Better put that specific exception into the OP.

Even with that point not withstanding, all you have to do is fill their middle row with boulders using this spell first, then play flooding.
If they have anymore than 3 creatures, that is not going to be very hard.

For this card, adjacency would definitely need to stay "to the sides" only, otherwise the above scenario will be too easy to pull off.

It's not an exception, iDaire was asking if you had all 23 field slots filled with creatures. Or at least, that's the question I answered.

Perhaps I should make Boulders removable somehow? Maybe they could be Other cards with 0|5 that don't attack or something?

Yes, and its Attack can't be buffed.

If they don't attack, then buffing their attack doesn't do anything.
