I'd suggest making his ability active, and that you have to click it in order to feed it Life. This leaves strategy as to whether or not you want to give it Life.

If you have a  mark, this creature can never die. Also, think about how many pillars you can put in a deck.

Pretty sure you mean if you have a mark.  Otherwise it could not go from a Withered Vine to Thorn Vines.

I don't think this ability should be made active.  Phoenix is significantly more powerful in that it has both more attack unupped and also does not require a duo to maintain.

True, but you also need  for it to absorb otherwise it wold turn withered.
