I like the idea, it makes sense, though i still find the freezing and damage of frozen creatures to be more true to the flavour of the elements.
I like the Concept of Freezing and smashing said creatures or punishing them because they are frozen too. I don't think River of fire is appropriate for this tho.
As for the physics, I assumed in a magical world, physics wasn't the be all end all, and that magical places exist, such as a place where the elemental planes of fire and water cross onto the material, which was my idea for this card, and in truth, all of my opposite element cards
The cards and details of the elements already put forward in the game show that unless the elemental trigger is of a magical nature then it works like people would expect it too.
The rain of fire card could heal creatures in a magical world the magical fre not burning but giving some magical swing to youth. But a representation like this is unintuitive unless you know all the details that make up why the fire acts in this way. This is hard to portray in a limited display evironment so is typically avoided.
As a rule if it portrays a natural physical effect it should not do something it would logically do in our material universe.
So no cards representing or called Ray of light generating Darkness Quantums and No Rivers of fire freezing creatures.
Elements deliberately marked as opposites like light and darkness, fire and water, Earth and Air, need some unique methods to mix them. In Elements a card can only be cast with a single defined class of quantum. This means that any defined effect / creature / permanent has to be of one element in scope but may have an ability created by adding elemental Quanta from another type.
An example would be the Werewolf. In a science fiction world we could say that this creature is a combination of beast (life) and dark unnatural nature (darkness) with an ability to shapeshift (Entropy) and an ability to violently attack and or eat others (Gravity). To create this in the game we cannot use all 3 element types for a cast cost of
![Entropy :entropy](https://elementscommunity.org/forum/Smileys/solosmileys/../../../images/Misc/entropy18x18.png)
so it has been deployed as an Entropy creature with the Lycanthropy abilty of
![Darkness :darkness](https://elementscommunity.org/forum/Smileys/solosmileys/../../../images/Misc/darkness18x18.png)
. This retains the feel of the creature within the limited environment of the game.
