ART: N/A (Still working on getting a decent picture) IDEA: willng3 NOTES: The name Kiyohime is derived from a Japanese folklore which can be found here:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiyohime (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiyohime) After Scorn has been used once, it cannot be used again; similar to how a Werewolf loses its ability after activation.  Otherwise this would be severely OP I'm by no means an expert when it comes to creature cost, but this seems balanced in my honest opinion.  Please explain in detail if you think otherwise.  Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated. Scorn should cost a bit more, to keep a duo harder to balance. It just seems way too cheap for an effect that powerful, even if it can only be used once. Think of fractal...

Well a trio with Fractal would be pretty hard to maintain effectively, but I do see your point; I was on the fence about the cost myself.  We'll see

The upgrade seems a bit weak, maybe make the target cost go down to one for the upgraded and cost two for the unupgraded? Idk.

The creatures stats and ability is pretty fun, but seeing that this could be a showstopper against someone who relies on their mark heavily (see duo's and pendulums-addicts), I could imagine that this would replace Discord entirely as the quanta scrambler (more 'misdirecting' quanta to the wrong element). I like it, but perhaps the duration of the mark change should be adjusted.

Noted, changed the duration to 3 turns.  It ultimately depends on what deck you're planning to run.  If it's a deck which uses a lot of Pillars then this will have little effect I would imagine.  Upped Speedbows would probably get hurt by the change since so many rely on their mark for Supernova, but the good news is the effect doesn't last forever

Mmm...I used Fallen Elf/Druid as a main comparison for this card so I made the cost the same for both.  However, if the change between unupped to upped truly does seem pointless then I can change its stats a bit more...say 1 more HP?

The upgrade (unupped->upgraded) is fine [+1atk].

I am worried that this card (although situational) would be able to shut down half of a vulnerable deck  /3 turns.

Significantly affects (Element lost)

Type I pillars powering skills of Type II mark

Heavily affects (50% quanta loss)
Type I and II pendulums with Type II mark

Slightly affects (25% quanta loss)
Type I pendulums and Type I pillars with Type I mark.

Apparently there's a lot of debate about the cost of Scorn...while I don't think the cost should be too high considering it is a one time use and situational, I can't shake off the feeling that it could use some tweaking.  I'm creating a poll on this to get some feedback on exactly what it should cost.

Also:  I considered making the effect also have a chance of the mark not changing (or the element is changed to itself) originally, would this help in any way?

50% of the votes thus far indicate that 2 would appear the most balanced cost for Scorn.  Changing this now.

Now I'm just waiting on artwork...which I still have not had any luck on

Balance is not a democratic process. If people voted that Photon's stats should be 100/100 with no cost increase it wouldn't matter, it'd still be imbalanced.

It is true that balance is not democratic. However balance is reason based. Giving detailed reasoned critque of a card idea is just the first step. The next step is to offer reasoned suggestions.
