To be fair some CCGs have more complex [3+ mechanics] cards than Elements does. On the whole Elements has rather simple cards because that is the way Zanz designed it so far and the vocal majority/minority on the forum's opinion.

The card size limits the text size which limits the character limit on Elements cards. If anyone wants to push the limit on mechanics per card [Like with an Adrenaline, Momentum, Immaterial, Gravity Pull, Growth creature] then they should still respect the character limit by using Keywords.

Take MTG's newest example Infect as an example. Instead of writing "Poisonous X where X=power, Wither" on each card they made a new keyword "Infect" (29 characters reduced to 6)

I know how MTG works. But that is now how elements has worked, but in element, that has been more limited and inconsistent.

Anyway, if that is how you guys want it, then suggest I roll this cards ability into a key word, rather then say its too complex and crap because it doesn't fit into the space.

Problem is, to really deserve a key word, more then one card should have the ability. Hell, to introduce new abilities like that, that should almost be a suggestion unto itself.  Otherwise it should fully explain on the card.

If you want to compare to MTG, those cards have alot more space for text. Hell, even enough space for a reasonable amount of flavor text too, something elements could do too if the space allowance was upgraded. And no, elements cards are no smaller then MTG's in the same format.

Yes, but we like simple things.

Replacement card suggestion:

NAME: Phasewalker (Interdimensional Being is a bit too long)

COST: 5 :aether

ATK|HP: N|N

TEXT: n = 4 + number of Phasewalkers on your side (or whatever scarab's "swarm" ability says with a 4 in it)
 :aether :aether Shift: Permanently set ATK and HP to 5|5.

NOTES: Passive skill (the swarm thing) would be "Phasewalker" or "Interdimensional Being" or whatever the name of the creature is. Shift would remove the passive skill and then set the ATK and HP to 5|5

It's good with parallel universe, not as much with fractals because of the high cost. It's too expensive/useless alone to work in duo decks. What more could you want?
