Pretty sexy, Essence. So I'm guessing this is a permanent effect, yes?

The effect was intended to be permanent, but the more I look at it, the more I think that Advanced Trap might be OP if permanent.

Advanced Trap is tricky (in a good way). It will be much better than Primitive Trap if it's against stuff like the Golden Dragon, but against Otyughs it is almost useless. I like. :)

CURATOR COMMENT
-For some reason I can't seem to see the image source for the Advanced Trap. Could you provide a page link to that image (i.e. - if it's from a blog, post the blog page where the image is found)? (The forest one is okay, as I found it here: http://www.forestryimages.org/browse/detail.cfm?imgnum=3226018)

Anyway, I think the Advanced Trap concept seems a little bit too strong, as you could potentially cause an entire field to be rendered useless if you got these out early enough (especially with Flooding... oh man, none of the opponent's creatures would be able to attack). >.> I enjoy the idea of targeting empty creature spaces as a spell mechanic (the trap that comes along with that is nice), but the complete pacification of creatures (being unable to attack) seems a bit much, as there's no way to prevent/fix those spaces affected by the traps.

Oh, and one more thing; considering that Primitive Trap resembles a Trou de loup (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trou_de_loup), don't you think that Life is a slightly better element for this card idea? ^^; Just my suggestion, of course.

I don't really like the way this card combines with the current ordering of creature placement. Currently, the cards get spaced to perfectly complement this card. They're left with a spot right in the middle for you to put the trap in. In other words, the card will never fail to trap at least 2 creatures if there are 2 there.

I also don't really like that this would make the order creatures were played in incredibly important.

yeah this should only affect 1 creature and then be done. Too OP

Look at Caltrops I made... It is a perm that can be destroyed with perm control but the effect last as long as the perm is in play... That seems to balance this type of card a bit.

Like the idea of traps in general though, i hope one the traps ideas makes it in to the game, even if it isn't mine.
