Seems a bit...costly, especially since you have to pay for the permanent again.

The cost is well worth it if your opponent has lots of permanent control. But does this work on pillars? Complete quicksand counter?

Even if not, something like a SoG doesn't have a massive cost, but could be game-changing if destroyed/given another copy of.

There is no change between the cards. Would there be a cost lowered, cost raised(another ability added)??

You'd get a copy of a permanent, and only if the first is destroyed/stolen? Not too sure that's really cost-effective, since that ,as pointed out previously, you'd have to pay for the permanent again. So it would be 6/5 time, and x2 cost of a permanent to gain... 1 more permanent in hand. Might want to instantly replace it instead?

In my thread, next to cost (upgraded), I wrote 5 in bold. Then I wrote: It says 6 on the image. That is an error.

I think it's balanced with protect artifact. Instantly replacing it would completely obsolete protect artifact.

Yes you have to pay quanta for the permanent again, but remember that your opponent has to pay to destroy it in the first place. If you use protect artifact, they'll simply kill another permanent.

Edit: Just a thought. A mutant with steal ability + this card. Hmm.

Don't call permanents "immaterial". Call them "cannot be destroyed or stolen."
