So what happens when people use this card? Nothing?

We just sit there and watch out weapons deal hits.  :(

I don't want to see this PA'ed in a stall deck, I really don't..... I'm sorry but imo this is not a good mechanic.

While your point does apply for unaligned dimension, inert dimension has several uses. You can poison your opponent with Chrysaora, build up lots of Unstable Gas, use Catapult to throw your creatures to deal damage, build up quanta to power Fahrenheit, the list goes on. Some of those strategies would work with Unaligned Dimension too though.

For a permanent, yes, it seems too overpowered to ever be able to be balanced.  But, however, if it had a shelf-life of, say, 2 turns or so, I could definitely see this being worked into the game.  This takes the PA problem right out of the equation, yet still allows the card to retain much of it's effectiveness.

Also, I very much disagree that this mechanic has no place in the game.  While rushing is fun, there are many players that hope for different types of stalling or controlling the field (myself among those players).  Even with this, there will be balancing issues, but this is a mechanic that, if it were introduced into the game, would make me very happy.

Seeing as it is a permanent, it could be targeted by protect artifact and thus make for a very annoying game. Perhaps it should destroy itself if targeted by another card?

Yes that would make it a bit more balanced.

umm, this is a sundial on steroids minus the draw. IMO too strong, this would destroy ANY rush deck as rush decks aren't built for any PC they are creature based.

Let's see all the cards that can actually target permanents: PA, Steal, Deflag, Pulverizer. . . mutants... That's it. I don't think that this should even have the unstable ability, since 2 of the 4 cards that target this thing actually destroy it anyway.
Perception is the source of misunderstanding.

Why, yes. I do have a Mindgate necklace. It's how I ninja everyone.

1. You forgot one, butterfly effect.
2. The Unstable is mostly to prevent PA, as it would cause it to become to strong, especially the upped version

While this is true, do keep in mind their are several other cards that can absolutely wreck other decks as well. For example, Reflective Shield destroys Unstable gas and other direct damage decks, Hope does the same to decks that don't have an easy way to destroy creatures, and Dune Scorpion can make a game go downhill very quickly.

While the card is certainly a good idea, it's not very practical since it forces a lockdown very easily and then a lot more players would be forced to run  :darkness , :fire:entropy , or a  :earth:gravity duo (5 of 12 elements - that's less than half).  Reflective Shield does reflect damage, but at least it is counterable on a widespread scale (go use creatures, you fools!) , and same goes for Dune Scorpion (decent shield or CC, and keep in mind that it requires two cards for it to work.)

Also, the card's redundant. We already have Phase Shield in  :aether and Sundial in  :time , so it's not exactly a card idea that works in the current Metagame.
