ART: Hans Sebald Beham http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Hercules_slaying_the_Hydra.jpg IDEA: Winter Is Coming NOTES: The "Regeneration" effect basically means that all of the Hydras on the board have to be killed simultaneously to prevent them from "regrowing two heads." (And I know they mythical creature was said to regrow three heads for every one cut off, but that would just get ridiculous here.) They have fairly high hp so the owner can't kill them off easily with his own attacks, and somewhat low attack power so they won't become a death sentence until they get to firefly/scarab swarm size. And I wanted to set the price fairly high, so that someone would have to save up quite a bit of quanta in order to play two at once to trigger the Regeneration effects. SERIES:

Ex. 2 Hydras on the field, both with 3 hp left. Opponent uses rain of fire. Do you have 4 hydras or 0?

You would have 0 left. That's part of the strategy with this card. Your opponent would have to kill all of the Hydras simultaneously in order to wipe them off the board. So having just one Hydra out there is essentially useless. You'd have to play two at once, OR if you're anticipating a Rain of Fire or some other card that attacks all creatures, play one after another to try and get them at uneven health so they die on different turns.

I think that way it presents interesting strategy questions for both the player of the card and the opponent.
