ART: IDEA: NOTES: It's basically the mitosis ability except you take some time to construct. There's more in-game decision making involved now in comparison to mitosis on what to do with automatons. I'm not sure earth is the best element for this, but since earth had steel golem I figured it would make the most sense. Synergies: Shard of Patience Any gravity earth duo can consider it EDIT: CLARIFICATION: When 'constructing', the Automaton is placed in Statis (delayed) so it doesn't attack. SERIES:

ouch cost drop... keep the upped at 4 if its only gonna take one turn instead of two. but good concept, i like it

The upped version has only 2 attack, which means unless you are using shard of patience with it, many shields can shut down the damage of the automaton. Though any rainbow running both SoP and minor auto might be possibly too strong

Seems incredibly UP, just using Mitosis and a different card is usually better in most cases. Upped might be better potentially, but unupped is most definitely UP. And the creature doesn't even attack during the times it constructs stuff.

Also, Deja Vu has a much better synergy with SoP, and you don't see Deja Vu Soapbows running the meta. So any worries about this being OP can get thrown out the window.

Automaton is a very unique and interesting creature spawner
compared to firefly queen and Pharaoh (scarab spawner),

Automaton needs turns and quanta to spawn creatures
instead of just plain quanta,
this makes it an exciting card.

a player can choose not to focus on
good quanta generating deck or cheap creatures deck (usual simple deck genre),

instead for Automaton,
players can opt for a stalling deck or counter creature control deck.

(elements might not have cards that can directly counter opponent creature control spells,
but Quintessence(immortality), Blessing(+3/+3), Guardian Angel(heal), plate armour(+0/+3)
can serves the same purpose in a different way.)

i hope i can implement this "creature spawner using turns" idea
into some of my cards, please.

You are probably right in the unupped version possibly having difficulty finding its uses, since the cost of constructing another automaton (8 damage + 2 quanta) takes quite a while and is quite costly.

Just keep in mind, unlike Deja Vu, the active can be used over and over again, so it can multiply like a malignant cell (but slower!)
