I actually like the idea of this going into

... Not that the
connection doesn't make sense too, it just appeals more to my physicist side in the
element because the earth naturally acts a grounding sink for electricity (spell damage).
Also, gravity is about redirecting physical force, but not necessarily spell damage. While I can see the connection of "pulling" in the electricity, the grounding phenomenon is actually more about spreading and dissipating electricity, not concentrating it... This is why the earth works well as a universal ground, because it provides an enormous surface over which the electrical charge can spread.
Also, to separate it a bit from the voodoo mechanic, what do you think of: "All spell damage is redirected to this creature. Spell damage received is discharged into the victim of the next attack."
