IDEA:
moomoose
NOTES:
Another soft protection idea, triggering a spell upon being targeted.  It also provides a mid-range card between mummy/spider and the dragon for death.

Once Horrify is used once, it is always on.  I was going to have it be a free, always on ability, but I didn't want to swipe Nightmare from :darkness , so the duo cost tie in was necessitated.

The nightmare cast will always be of (Greater) Horror, so if you are facing another :death deck, they could gain some of their own Horrors by intentionally targeting your Horror.

Oh, and good luck sleeping tonight.  This thing even gives me the creeps.

It's one-time-used skill like lycanthropy, and the activated state is passive(can't be loboed), right?

yes and no.  it is like lycanthropy, in that it is turned on once.  however, it can be lobo'd- it doesn't simply adjust stats like lycan, it just turns on an active ability.

When targeted by lobo, does it cast nightmare?

assuming it was cast by the opponent and not the owner for some unlikely reason, yes.

+2 atk, 5->7hp and the ability improves as the number of CC attempts increase.
Probably too much of an upgrade.

Sidenote: The opponent will lose a draw and some minor hp every time Horror triggers.

"You spelled greater wrong.."

-typo, not spelling error. just semantics, will fix it eventually.

"Does it nightmare greater horrors even if they target a horror?"

'The nightmare cast will always be of (Greater) Horror, so if you are facing another :death deck, they could gain some of their own Horrors by intentionally targeting your Horror.' - note the greater is in parenthesis, so its relative.

"+2 atk, 5->7hp and the ability improves as the number of CC attempts increase.

could increase the cost by 1 and the +2|+2 to +3|+3. the abyss crawler model.  i just wanted the greater horror to feel beefy, like a giant undead rabbit, not just a slightly stronger one.

"Sidenote: The opponent will lose a draw and some minor hp every time Horror triggers."

yep, nightmare is a hell of a drug.  and taking it all into consideration makes it a hell of a reason not to target them unless you really want to.

A better term for "horrify" would be "petrify", just saying.

petrify works, but i'd rather leave that term open to be used by something that would turn someone to stone, like a gorgon or whatnot.

i can honestly say ive never seen that term used.  petrify is the much, much more commonly used term for such.  for example, do a google search for 'medusa petrify' without the 's, and you get "About 12,100,000 results", now a google search for 'medusa lapidify' and you get "About 157,000 results", roughly 100x more hits.
